The facing board, core, overall thickness, joint, connection and required structural, thermal and fire performance are selected as one SIP system. Board test results must not be presented as the rating of the complete panel assembly.

Board-level reaction-to-fire and surface-burning results support material review. Structural, thermal and fire-resistance ratings for a SIP must be established for the complete tested or engineered assembly.
