Magnesium Oxysulfate Board Systems

Magnesium Oxide Boards

Three purpose-built MgO board systems for sheathing, ductwork, SIP, structural flooring and interior wall finishes.

Sulfycor boards use a magnesium oxysulfate cement system formed from reactive magnesium oxide, magnesium sulfate and water. Choose the board by surface finish and end use—not by the generic “MgO board” name alone.

Material System

Why the Cement System Matters

Sulfycor magnesium oxide boards use a magnesium oxysulfate cement system formed from reactive magnesium oxide, magnesium sulfate and water.

Conventional magnesium oxychloride boards use a system formed from magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride and water. These are different reactive magnesium salt systems with different hydration products and formulation requirements.

Quality Evidence

Independent Testing for Sulfycor Board Samples

Sulfycor magnesium oxysulfate boards have achieved verified fire classifications and measured performance results in independent laboratory testing.

Current reports identify Sulfycor as the applicant and cover European, North American and Australian test methods. Documentation is matched to the board type, thickness and intended application for each project.

Report results apply to the specific samples or assemblies tested. Complete report scope is confirmed during technical review.
